2 Semester Hours Prerequisite: Contact the Program Manager for Assessment of Prior Learning. RDG 099 with "K"grade or minimum level placement test scores for college level English courses. ENL 101 is recommended. The purpose of ORT 200 is to assist adult students with the development of a comprehensive portfolio documenting knowledge acquired through life/work experiences and other formal or informal learning experiences. Students are guided through a series of group sessions on learning style, college level learning, skill identification, goal setting, and the portfolio development process. Each student is responsible for the development of a written portfolio that provides description, analysis and documentation of learning experiences which are appropriate for his/her own educational program of study.
