3 Semester Hours Prerequisite: ECN 201 Macroeconomics This introductory course presents a fundamental role and function of money in the economy, inflation, and money supply. The major issues discussed in this course are: how financial institutions and Federal Reserve System operate. Specific subjects covered include: monetary and fiscal policies, monetary theory, inflation, capital and money markets, interest rates and their impact on the US economy, and the role of financial institutions.
