General principles of organic chemistry with continued emphasis on reactivity and synthesis. Topics include the study of ethers, epoxides, sulfides, conjugated systems, aromatic compounds, ketones, aldehydes, amines, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, enols, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, amino acids, peptides, proteins, lipids, and polymers.
