(1.0 hours) This course introduces basic biotechnology laboratory skills in preparation for Biotechnology I. Topics and techniques include safety, sterile technique, laboratory math, quality systems, documentation, collection of data, metrology, fi ltration, solution and media preparation, and other appropriate laboratory methods. Two one-hour lecture sessions and one two-hour laboratory session per week. Prerequisite: None. Corequisites: BI 1323 and BI 1332, BY 1102
