This course introduces the student to database programming and applications. Relational databases and database management systems and their properties are studied. The relational database software is utilized within the Windows operating system environment. Students create files, reports, forms, and queries using this package. The use of objects in the database software package is be discussed and implemented. Macros, menus, and toolbars are introduced as part of the development of an effective database management system (DBMS). Prerequisite: BUS 1603 must be completed within the past 5 years with Grade > C or permission.
