This course introduces students to the basic concepts of chemistry and physics which are essential for the characterization of the chemical hazards such as carcinogens, corrosives, explosives, flammables, oxidizers, and radioactive materials. Student will also become familiar with the chemistry of some elements, principles of chemical reactions, and the use of various reference books. Prerequisite: CHE 1024 (Grade > C)
