This course is an overview of theories and principles of remote sensing and data acquisition. It provides the background ability to input data from carious sources for use in GIS projects. Students will learn how various satellites and sensor systems are used to identify how images are corrected and analyzed. Obtaining GIS data, formatting and formal conversion of digital GIS data management will also be covered. Prerequisite: GIS 1003 and GIS 1303 or permission
