An overview of the hardware of the personal computer is presented. Students are given the opportunity to assemble and configure a microcomputer. The motherboard, microprocessors, floppy drives, hard drives, CD-ROM, power supplies, modems, terminals, and printers are examined. Essential utilities necessary to upgrade and troubleshoot a PC are utilized. Prerequisite: BUS 1603 must be completed within the past 5 years with Grade > C or permission.
