(3 Credit Hours) A lecture/lab with a performance base. Students will gain fundamental knowledge in acting. Three significant acting methods will be examined and practiced: Stanisslavski System, Meisner Approach, and other acting techniques will be further explored. Two areas of concentration, internal and external, will be utilized to become in touch with one's acting instrument: the mind, the body and the voice. The tools of acting will be studied along with the application of the tools and a historical perspective for individual methods will be examined. Acting activities will be practiced resulting in final performance through The Brown Bag Theatre. Prerequisites: Methods of Acting I, permission of instructor.
