(1 Credit Hour) This physical education course is designed to help individuals improve their personal fitness through a structured walking program offered in a group setting. The proper techniques of walking, introduction to target heart rate monitoring, and injury prevention through stretching will be explored. A mandatory pre and post assessment along with mileage recording will help students set their goals and track their progress. This class is ideal for senior adults or students unable to utilize weight bearing equipment during exercise.
