(3 Credit Hours) This course describes the most common semiconductor devices and how they operate, their construction and usual markings. This course should prepare the student to further study the application of the semiconductor devices when used in more complex circuits and systems. This course is recommended for any student who has some minimum training or experience with electricity or electronics. It is appropriate to take this course along with a basic electronics course with instructor's approval.
