(4 Credit Hours) The course has been approved by the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services. It addresses information and techniques currently considered to be the responsibilities of the EMT-Intermediate. The program consists of didactic instruction, practical skills training, and clinical observation and training. Prerequisite: To be eligible to participate in the EMT-Intermediate training program, the student must be currently certified as a Kansas EMT. A student should have the ability to read and understand high school level reading material. A student needs to have had or be in the process of getting the Hepatitis shots and have had a TB test. A copy must be submitted to the Instructor/Coordinator.
