(5 Credit Hours) This course is scheduled for four hours of lecture and two hours of lab a week and is designed for students with no prior experience in chemistry or with a limited background in this science. It is an introductory survey of the fundamental principals of atomic structure, molecular and ionic bonding, the gas laws, stoichiometric relationships, acid-base theory, and oxidation-reduction.
