(3 Credit Hours) This course provides a hands-on, task-driven approach to learning the fundamental concepts and skills of computing. Throughout the course the students work through tutorials and realistic case studies. In this way the student is exposed to situations similar to those one might encounter in the workplace. Topics covered include terminology, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, operating systems, networking, programming, and telecommunications.
