(2 Credit Hours) A course designed to teach the skills needed to identify cardiac arrhythmias from selected strips, identify areas of ischemia, injury, and infarction from a 12-lead ECG, and identify artificial cardiac pacemaker rhythms. The course will review the anatomy and physiology of the heart, the signs, symptoms, and complication of an acute M.I., standard medical treatment and nursing care of hypersensitive emergencies and cardiac medications.
