Class 3. Prerequisite: MATH 1513 or equivalent. This course includes both descriptive and inferential statistics. Students will become familiar with data collection techniques and be able to make predictions about populations based on results of statistical testing. Topics will include frequency distributions and graphs, counting techniques and probability, discrete and continuous probability distributions, and hypothesis testing. Statistical tests covered in this course include the Z-test, T-test, F-test, Chi-Square-test and ANOVA. Correlation and regression will also be covered.
