A lecture course for science majors that reinforces concepts introduced in BIO 1133 General Biology I, Lecture, while emphasizing the diversity of life. Topics covered include adaptation by natural selection, classification, ecology, detailed consideration of each group of organisms and viruses, study of animals and plants including their basic anatomy and physiology.
