3 CR. A beginning course in algebra. Includes algebraic laws, polynomials, exponents, linear equations, and factoring. Provides a foundation for further study of mathematics as well as for course work in many technical and scientific fields. Prerequisite: Basic Mathematics. Credits earned in this course do not apply to the associate degree. Students must take a math assessment for placement purposes prior to registration.
