3 CR. Students will learn computer programming using the structured programming language C and its object-oriented derivative C++. Language concepts will include variables, data structures, pointers, conditional and looping constructs, functions, objects, properties and methods. Specific object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism will be explained. Emphasis will be placed on solving problems using well-written algorithms, producing readable program documentation, and creating programs that are user friendly and produce neat, attractive output. Prerequisite: C++ Computer Programming I.
