3 Credit hours 45 Contact hours Surveys a number of events, peoples, groups, ideas, institutions, and trends that have shaped Western Civilization from the prehistoric era to 1650. Reflects the multiple perspectives of gender, class, religion, and ethnic groups. A principal focus is on developing, practicing, and strengthening the skills historians use while constructing knowledge in the discipline.
