1 Credit hour 15 Contact hours Provides EMTs and paramedics with the skills needed to quickly assess the scene for potential hazards to themselves. Introduces topics on scene safety, evaluation of potential problem patients, verbal communication, control techniques, physical control techniques for the problem patient, and specific techniques for scene control. Co-requisite: EMS 125 and EMS 170 (Student must enroll in same section as EMS 125) for a total of 11credit hours.
