2 Credit hours 30 Contact hours Introduces students to Diesel Shop Safety and OSHA and EPA general requirements used in the Diesel Power Mechanics field. Students learn to maintain a safe and clean working environment and recognize potential shop safety hazards. They will also learn to correctly select, safely use and care for hand, electric, air and shop tools. Topics include fire extinguisher use, MSDS sheets, oil contamination, protective gear and equipment, basic first aid, and other related topics.
