4 Credit hours 90 Contact hours Focuses on an integrated study of the human body, including the histology, anatomy, and physiology of each system. Examines molecular, cellular, and tissue levels of organization plus integuments, skeletal, articulations, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems. Includes a mandatory hands-on laboratory experience covering experimentation, microscopy, observations, and dissections. This is the first semester of a two-semester sequence. Prerequisite: Successful completion of BIO 106 or 111 (grade C or higher) or equivalent or permission of Department Chair. Course Note: This is a statewide guaranteed transfer course.
