4 Credit hours 60 Contact hours Involves in-depth field study of natural environments within and outside of the United States. The course varies from seven to twenty-one days in length. Focus is on the identification of organisms as well as an examination of ecological concepts and principles. Requires hands-on laboratory and field experience (includes extensive hiking). Prerequisite: Successful completion of BIO 111 (grade C or higher) or equivalent, or permission of the Department Chair.
