Focuses on the study of invertebrate and vertebrate animals, and examines structure, evolutionary development, ecology, classification, physiology, reproduction, and zoogeography. A survey of zoological diversity emphasizes the characteristics, zoological contributions, and classification of animal phyla and major classes. Requires hands-on laboratory and field experience. Prerequisite: Successful completion of BIO 111 (grade C or higher) or equivalent, or permission of Department Chair. Course Note: This is a statewide guaranteed transfer course.
