5 Credit hours 75 Contact hours Exposes students to American Sign Language. Readiness activities are conducted focusing on visual/receptive skills and basic communication. Utilizes the direct experience method. Course Note: Students must complete this course with a "B" or higher or pass an ASLproficiency test with a score of at least 80% or better prior to registering for ASL 122 if planning to enroll in the Interpreter Preparation Program at Front Range Community College or Pikes Peak Community College.
