This course integrates theory and practice as it relates to growth and development, psychosocial coping responses to illness, and alterations in health status in children and adults. Nursing process is applied to promote health of clients/patients in long-term, acute care and community-based settings. Concepts relating to the nursing care of hospitalized children and their families are introduced. In clinical, students will organize selected components of care for two clients/patients in longterm and acute care settings.
