Onequarter laboratory science course designed as an introduction to biology for students interested in the health professions as well as a general science. Strongly recommended for students who intend to take 200-level microbiology and/or anatomy and physiology. Topics include study of the scientific method, cellular chemistry, cell structure and function, human ecology, and laboratory skills. Placement into WR 121 and MTH 60.
