Illustrates the importance of software design as part of the software development life cycle. Prepares student to take programming courses by giving examples of well-designed software projects. Student is expected to design small programming projects and code the projects to prove the design. Focus is on the procedural design. May be taken concurrently with CIS 121. Recommended: CIS 120, 121. Additional lab hours may be required.
