Builds upon NUR 172, and focuses on assessment of healthdeviation self-care demands and responses to acute and chronic health problems. Includes the impact of health deviation on universal self-care and developmental self-care for client and families in the health care system. Focuses on clinical decision making, helping methods and interventions for clients with moderate to severe self-care agency limitations. Provides opportunity to work collaboratively in client care planning. Case-based instruction, small group discussion, and mastery learning techniques are used. Proficiency examinations are available. Prerequisite: NUR 172 and BIO 125 (C or better in each) - AND - CMM 127 Course fee
