First course in a three semester sequence designed for students in engineering, physics, mathematics and chemistry. Fundamental concepts of mechanics are developed through lecture, demonstration and laboratory experience. Note: MTH 146 is strongly recommended as a corequisite for this course and is a prerequisite for PHY 124 if you are planning to enroll in Physics for Science and Engineering II.
