This course is a continuation of DHY 111. The principles and procedures will be systematically presented through lectures, reading assignments and case-based activities. Emphasis will be placed on infectious diseases, patient assessment and treatment planning through case studies, instrument sharpening, ultrasonic scaling, fluoride supplements, advanced instrumentation and medical emergencies. Prerequisites: DHY 111, DHY 113, DHY 115, DHY 117, DHY 171 (C or better in each)
