DNC 221 - Intermediate Ballet Technique

This course is designed for students continuing beyond the fundamentals of ballet, and wishing to develop his/her ballet technique. Intermediate Ballet will particularly stress strength, flexibility, musical ability and endurance; as such barre exercises will progress to releve, and turns and batterie work will be doubled. Center work will also be extended, and if possible, some introductory pointe work will occur at mid -semester, (to be done only 15 minutes at the end of a class period). Prerequisite: DNC 121
