This is an intermediate course in black and white photography. It covers the Zone System, advanced film and printing darkroom procedures, previsualization techniques, photographic design, print toning, archival preparation and presentation, and the systemization procedures for achieving gallery quality prints. Emphasis is placed on the use of photography as a fine art medium. Students must provide a fully adjustable camera, system equipment, film, photographic paper, and storage and presentation materials for use in completing course assignments. Prerequisite: ART 129 Course fee Offered spring only.
