This course is an introduction to the techniques of field archaeology and includes instruction in excavation and recording, exploratory surveys and mapping, project planning, research design, laboratory analysis, and preparation of research reports. The class will be conducted at an approved archaeological site, such as the Mayflower Archaeological Preserve in Belize, Central America. The course will be comprised of actual field work, along with lectures and discussion. Prerequisite: Language Proficiency
