Financial Accounting is a thorough coverage of financial accounting topics. The first part of the course provides a clear, concise coverage of the accounting cycle using the corporate structure to produce the general-purpose financial statements: Income Statement, Statement of Retained Earnings, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows. The remainder of the class covers financial topics that will enhance the student's understanding of the general-purpose financial statements and of corporate financing through the use of debt and equity. Note: Minimum time for classwork and homework is 12-15 hours per week. The department assumes that you have business math and reading proficiencies. Prior enrollment in BUS 121 recommended. Prerequisites: Language Proficiency and AOS 122 or MTH 102 (C or better in either) or higher math course or appropriate score on the math placement test. Course fee IAI: BUS 903
