A study of the history, theory, duties and responsibilities of the patrol division; communications and development of observational powers; care and use of protective weapons, patrol vehicles, and other equipment. Handling of emergency requests for assistance, vehicle stops, burglary, robbery, sex offenses, the mentally ill, and other kinds of situations. 3 hours lecture.
