This course explores the conversion of chemical and potential energy sources into thermal, mechanical, and electrical energy. Energy sources studied include coal, oil, natural gas, water, wind, solar, geothermal, and derived fuel. Students will learn about the combustion and reactive properties of energy sources including requirements for converting one source of energy to another.
