Lecture 3, Lab 2, Credit 4 A classical physics course intended for students majoring in physics or astronomy. Includes vector operations with calculus and analytical geometry; kinematics and dynamics of particles and rigid bodies; Newton's laws of motion for translational and rotational motion, work, energy, and conservation of energy; static equilibrium and elasticity; mechanics of fluids; oscillating system waves and sound; gravitation; kinetic theory of gases; and thermodynamics and heat engines.
