This course provides the practical experience of living comfortably and safely in the outdoors under wilderness conditions. Students will learn and demonstrate the techniques of campsite selection and setup, camp cookery, orientation using a topographic map and compass, and woodcraft, while on an extended camping, backpacking, canoeing, or other type of outdoor excursion.
