This course will prepare students for college level science courses in three ways. (a) overcoming attitudes toward the study of science which discourages the students from learning about scientific concepts; (b) helping students recognize how a basic understanding of scientific concepts can affect their daily lives; and (c) building the student's foundation of scientific knowledge and strategies for attaining and developing this knowledge so that they can successfully master subsequent science courses.
