A course planned to provide initial training for students enrolled in the medical transcription and/or medical assistant program. The student is introduced to machine transcription of medical terminology that a beginning transcriptionist is likely to encounter in case histories, correspondence, x-ray or pathological reports, and some of the medical specialties currently recognized by the American Medical Association. Prerequisite: OFTC 1672 AND OFTC 1644 Transcribing Machines
