This course covers the mathematics needed by students enrolled in technical or trade programs. The emphasis will be on application in solving problems encountered in vocational fields; the student will be exposed to a broad coverage of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and basic statistics. The metric system and measurement techniques will also be covered. Fulfills: Mathematics Requirement Prerequisite: MATH 1809 Basic Applied Mathematics with a grade of C or better or MATH 1811 Preparatory Mathematics with a grade of C or better or ASSET Numerical Skills score of at least 40 or ACT Math score of at least 17 or SAT Mathematics score of at least 400 or Accuplacer Arithmetic Skills score of at least 70
