Prerequisite: A score of 16 on the Reading portion of the Enhanced ACT or REA 1013 with a grade of "C" or better.This course is designed to develop basic language skills: speaking, reading, and writing. Phonetic symbols are used to aid correct pronunciation, but the principal aid is to be found in the language laboratory. Three lecture hours per week.
