This course is intended to be a basic introductory course in vocabulary development for those students who need or want to improve. Dictionary skills, knowledge of prefixes, roots and suffixes, and easily confused words will be stressed. Techniques for improving one's own vocabulary will be learned. Various programmed materials will be used with frequent instructor- student conferences as the student progresses at his own rate of speed in a clearly outlined individualized program.
