This course is a continuation of HIST 1408 Western Civilization to 1500. HIST 1410 will cover Western Civilization from 1500 to the present. It is the intent of the course to introduce students to the broad sweep of Western civilization. The course is focused on examining Western heritage from the historical perspective. The class will examine social history as a core element, but extensive attention is given to economic, political, cultural, and intellectual developments. Fulfills: Humanities Requirement
