This course is an intermediate level class in the practice of modern dance technique. Students will learn concepts in alignment, body placement with special awareness, neuromuscular coordination, and intermediate skills in manipulating elements of movement: time, space, and force/ energy. Students will work creatively to create original dance combinations and manipulate those combinations by applying knowledge of space, time, and force. Floor exercises, standing center floor exercises, center floor movement combinations, across the floor combinations, and choreography combinations will prepare the student to practice and create in concert dance. Prerequisite: DANC 1020 Modern Dance I
