This course covers motor vehicle operation, such as drive trains, brakes, fuel, exhaust, cooling, electrical, suspension, steering, and coupling. Additionally, students learn about shift patterns, securing loads, and principles of maneuvering. Laws and regulations are covered in the class as well as the handling of log books, bills of lading, and trip reports. Safety is emphasized throughout the course. Practical application is provided through field exercises and road trips.
