This course covers instrumentation components, control theory, and distributive control systems related to electrical power distribution. Topics include: open and closed loop systems, pressure instrumentation, temperature control, flow and level control, analytical instrumentation, instrument calibration, and controller tuning. Control and data acquisition topologies will also be covered. Specifically, students will apply course principles to electric power plant operations. Prerequisite: EL 15013 Basic Electricity II.
