Applied Mathematics is a modular laboratory mathematics course consisting of applications of the following topics: using a scientific calculator, learning problem solving techniques, estimating answers, metrics, using graphs, charts, and tables, geometry in two and three dimensions, ratio and proportion, scale drawings, scientific notation. Prerequisite: Basic Math Skills, or ASSET Numerical Skills score of 40 to 45, or an ACT math score of 16 17 or a COMPASS score of 40 or above in Pre Algebra or 22 33 in Algebra.
